A friend of mine sent me this message by e-mail today about something that happened to her. I think she would love for others to hear her story as well.
Dear Be Loved One,
Sunday, the battery went dead on my car and after getting it started again I needed to drive the car for awhile to get it fully charged. It was a beautiful spring day and I decided to go up a winding mountain road that I have never traveled before, even though it is very close to where I live. I decided to chant a healing mantra and sent it out to the area. I pictured myself like a lighthouse radiating the Light of Love with this sound.
After about 20 minutes a couple flagged me down and I pulled over to see what they needed. The man spoke first and asked if I could give him a ride. Meanwhile, his wife walked back to their car, as he continued talking. He said his mother was dying in the hospital and they were on their way to see her when they got into a fight. Suddenly, he interrupted his story because his wife was yelling at him that she was going to dump his stuff out of the car and drive off.
He went running to the car to plead with her not to do that. Next thing I know, she is walking past the car and says, "I'm not getting in the car with him again. I don't feel safe." and she kept on walking down the hill. Oh, my. He returns to me and continues to explain his situation. First he painted a good picture of himself and then I gently asked, "Your wife said she doesn't want to be in the car with you. Is there any reason why?" He then admitted that he had been yelling at her and they had been fighting over a storage locker. He told me how much he supports her and their son and how he pays all the bills, etc. And then something shifted and he asked me for advice. "What would you do?"
I said, "Can you send her love unconditionally? I said this in a gentle tone, a very sweet tone, full of love. "Just send her love no matter how she behaves, no matter what she says, just concentrate on sending her love. Can you do that?" He just completely relaxed and had this "Ah Ha" expression on his face, like he was both surprised at this and at the same time already knew it deep inside. We conversed some more and he decided that he didn't need a ride anymore and would wait for her to return with the keys to the car. He thanked me profusely and said I was an angel. He said he had been bargaining with her, saying "If you do this then I'll do that." He could see right away that he was placing all kinds of conditions on his love. It was so beautiful to witness the transformation in him.
It was funny, because I'm not usually on that road and I felt that whole dead battery situation was created to lead me to them and to be of service. I also felt energized after the experience too. I just felt love for everyone and everything. My battery had truly been recharged by unconditional love. It was clear to me that his readiness made him receptive to the words I gave. It's as though we were both playing our parts and the Divine was directing us and prompting us with our lines. It all just felt so easy. I am so grateful for receiving teachings about Love which equipped me to serve in this situation. It was so simple, so joyful, so loving! Thank you Divine, thank you teachers everywhere, thank you! I want to share this story today with you, one of my Love teachers, on this most special Valentines Day. Blessings, Christine
